With the development of summer programs children china,many Chinese language have being endued with new meanings.For example," (hàn)"is a word which appears frequently in HSK test.At first,this word is the Chinese character for perspiration, or the sweat people produce when playing sports, or when faced with other intense or strenuous conditions. On the Internet, the word has come to indicate that one has nothing to say on an issue or conversation. In this way, it translates roughly into "I'm without words," or simply "I have nothing to add"in online Chinese.

When chatting online with friends, it's actually quite common to see " (hàn)," so much so in fact, that it's become a widely used expression in our daily non-Internet based lives as well.

If you were demand to explain this word in HKS test,you can image you witness someone do something unusual, or extraordinary, and you can express your astonishment by uttering "(hàn)." This usage of the word actually originated from a cartoon.

Finally, you also use the verb" (hàn)" to show emotions of embarrassment or shame in the HSK test.

First, to express a sense of surprise or shock when something exceeds expectations. It's English equivalent is along the lines of "wow," "holy cow," or "oh my!"

Last, to express being at a loss for words, or not having any reaction.

Example:

Hàn, wǒ zhēn bu zhīdao shuō shénme hǎo le.
汗,          知道            什么     了。

Have you ever heard a festival named “小年” by your Chinese character classes?"小年 (Xiǎonián) The Little New Year," also known as the "祭灶节 (Jìzào jié) the Kitchen God Festival," is believed to take place on the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month when the Kitchen God will return to the Jade Emperor in Heaven to report the activities of the households over the past year. It's said the Kitchen God was sent forth by the Jade Emperor to take charge of all kitchens in the terrestrial world, so nowadays people regard him with high esteem as "保护神 (bǎohù shén) the patron saint."

If you have little realization about this festival in Chinese classes,you would know when the big day finally arrives, people everywhere are "兴奋 (xīngfèn) excited," bustling about and "准备 (zhǔnbèi) preparing" for the sacrifice and departure of the Kitchen God. The ceremony usually takes place over a long evening, entailing attendees kneeling before the God's picture and making offerings of delicious foods, such as "灶糖 (zàotáng) kitchen sugar," or "火烧(huǒshāo) baked wheat cake." One can imagine the yearly rush that ensues to secure the treats. Perhaps some of the country folk are wisest to avoid the trouble and bake themselves.

If you are interested in learn Chinese ,you should know a special symbol in Chinese language——the dragon,have a lofty status in Chinese spirit.Whatever time and space have changed,the worship of dragon never changed in their heart.So it is necessary for beginners of learn Chinese to know the story of the old symbol.

When learning Chinese culture,you will find in ancient China, the Chinese language of " (lóng) dragon" lived capable upon the earth’s land, though notably, his majestic appearance lacked its famous horns. With a strong body and the power to fly effortlessly through the heavens, he deserved for the title "兽王  (shòuwáng) king of the animals" and decided to campaign to "代替 (dàitì) take the place of" tiger. Furthermore, he thought it was ridiculous he hadn't been elected into the "属相 (shǔxiàng) Chinese zodiac." Thereon created a great conflict between " (lóng) dragon" and " () tiger," which forced the jade emperor to summon them and demand a final decision.

The Chinese language of dragon was afraid he'd lose to the tiger's shiny coat, so with his friend the centipede's advice, he borrowed the beautiful horns of the "公鸡 (gōngjī) rooster." Seeing the grace and power evident in both the dragon and tiger, the jade emperor was perplexed for a settlement. Finally, he resolved to assign " () tiger" as "百兽之王 (bǎishòu zhī wáng) the king of animals," and " (lóng) dragon" as "水族之王 (shuǐzú zhī wáng) the king of sea." Finally, he granted both tiger and dragon positions in the zodiac .

After the incident, the dragon wondered if he could return the rooster's charming horns. But he was afraid of losing glory after removing the rooster's horns. So the dragon ultimately "决定 (juédìng) decided" to keep his horns and has never walked back onshore, perhaps to avoid his debt to the rooster. Since then, whenever the rooster encounters a centipede, he devours it to ease his grudge of his loss.

Though the dragon was a fabricated creature, it has the highest position amongst the animals. Chinese believe the dragon can call for the wind and the rain and travel through space. In ancient Chinese language, emperors regarded themselves as "真龙天子 (zhēn lóng tiānzǐ) the emperor of the true dragon" and until recently the Chinese thought of themselves as "龙的传人 (lóng de chuánrén) the descendents of the dragon."Not only have the dragon represented bravery,but it also bring good luck for all nation in Chinese language.

If you are interested in learn Chinese ,you should know a special festival which as  important as Spring Festival in lunar January——The "元宵节 (Yuánxiāojié) Lantern Festival" .In Chinese language the "元宵节 (Yuánxiāojié) Lantern Festival"falls on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. On this day, activities such as "猜灯谜 (cāidēngmí) guessing the lantern riddles," "吃元宵 (chī yuánxiāo) eating sweet dumplings," and many others are held to celebrate. One such event is the custom of displaying lanterns in the streets, which is why the day is also known as "灯节 (dēngjié)." There is a very beautiful story to go along with this particular Chinese custom. Therefore, choose some Chinese lessons to learn Chinese tradion is such a good way to assist you to learn Chinese language. The following is the legend of the Lantern Festival.

Long ago, human beings have no ability to creat and learn Chinese civilization,fierce beasts roamed the Earth with black hearts and terrorized any creatures, or people living nearby. One day, the people of the land could take no more, and so banded together to fight off their cruel oppressors. Armed with sharpened weapons and a hope to save their homeland, they began a brutal retaliation. However, it just so happens that on that very day, the prized pet bird of a god lost its way and landed upon the Earth, directly in the sight of a particularly skilled human warrior. The man mistook the winged stranger as one of the menacing beasts and with a single blow, slew the bird without a second thought. When the god heard news of his pet's ill fate, he flew into a furious rage and declared the human race was to burn for its heinous crime. After overhearing her father's plot, the god's daughter took pity upon the humans and "决定 (juédìng) decided" to warn them of the plan. Upon learning the news, a wise old man amongst the people came up with an idea. He asked each family to first decorate their homes with colorful lanterns and then "放烟花 (fàngyānhuā) set off fireworks" on the Lunar calendar's 14th, 15th and 16th of January so that the vengeful god would mistake the explosions as the burning and suffering of mankind.

On the night of the Lunar calendar's 15th of January, the god looked down on the Earth with his bird's death still heavy on his mind. There he found man's world overtaken by a sea of red light and horrible sounds. "Three days of torment and burning death" he said. "Three days and mankind is finally good and dead."

Thanks to the clever old man's idea, the god was fooled by decorations and we were all saved from a horrible extinction.To honor the triumph, people decided to light lanterns on the "正月十五 (zhēngyuè shíwǔ) Lunar Calendar's 15th of January" each and every year.
